For this year’s design, although I still based the cover art on the original Greek mythology, I decided to change the style to create a modern adaptation of the story. Ariadne’s thread is now a chain, and Theseus’ sword a lightsaber. Referencing Japanese manga and video games like League of Legends, the unconventional style creates an energetic, exciting, almost rebellious undertone for the writings of teenage students.
