Metamorphosis is a personal art exhibition that documents Viela’s youthful years. This exhibition provides a space for Viela to share her thoughts. The artworks are a visual representation of her reflections on her journey to adulthood, a bridge between the audience and her inner world.

Each work focuses on a different aspect of youth: the wondrous years of blooming energy, the exploration of the world, and the brevity of adolescence. Youth in the modern time is more than mere chaos. Each person’s adolescence is uniquely different: if it were a flower, it could be blooming explosively, or it could be slowly letting down its pedals, showing its true subtlety and beauty. The motif of a flower is seen throughout the exhibition, a representation of a teenager and youth itself.

 

The exhibition invites the audience to reflect on their youthful years with the artist, to think about the sudden and rapid changes in their environment, their bodies, and their mind, and to remember the beauty of this briefly disappearing time.
