Despite the current dystopia of disease, famine, and war, with each individual’s contribution, together we can build a better future. This is the central theme of Revive Tomorrow. Moved by news articles of today’s world, Max Ernst’s Europe After the Rain II, the Tower of Babel, I led several student artists to create a mural that illustrates the current scene of human greed and its destruction of earth. The spheres and ribbons are the elements essential to life, exploited by humans and left in scarcity. In the centre, a grey hand holds a ripped purple ribbon, only to realize too late what it had done. Yet, there is still hope. Scan the mural with app Artivive to see the augmented reality animation, where the elements of life come together into a single sphere, the key to reviving the world. By scanning the mural, the viewer metaphorically contributes to building a brighter future.
